Customizable templates for RFI & Submittal cover sheets

With the new document generation from Team which utilizes the canned Vista template, it seems natural to allow users to utilize our customized templates.

Added bonus if this could feed to each project from the Company Parameter document template defaults based on Document Types - and be editable from there. . .

But, baby steps.

Yes, our PMs and Division Managers started testing out TEAM and when they saw the outputted RFI's and Submittals they said there's no way they they would send THAT to a customer. They liked being able to create and customize RFI and Submittal templates in Vista PM Send and Create tools.

Hey, all, I created another suggestion to limit the Project level customization. Vote or tell me what you think.

Sam I asked the same question and the answer is no. The project level cover sheet will always override the enterprise cover sheet. We also have concerns about uniformity and would like the option to lock this out at the enterprise level. We then could modify project level cover sheets on an as-needed basis.

Thank you Jim. Is there a way to hide the ability to create a project level cover sheet?

Sam, you can have either enterprise-level cover sheets, or project level. If a project level one is defined, it is used, otherwise it defaults to the enterprise template.

Can the cover sheets be customizable on the business level only? We have some concerns with uniformity from project to project within our company.

Please incorporate the ability to package individual line items in Team under 1 cover sheet.  Vista has this feature and it is very useful.  Team currently does not have this feature so as a work around I still use Vista to package the line items together and then create the cover sheet and then upload that into Team.  It would be nice if Team had this feature so we wouldn't have to go back and forth between the two platforms.

Karl and Jacob, custom cover sheets for Issues and Submittals is being developed now and should be released fairly soon.

When will this be coming for submittals?  The option to select multiple submittals and combine them together under 1 cover sheet would be very helpful.

The RFI cover sheet is the only one that can be customized right now?

Please see attached Cover Sheet created using Viewpoint Team showing different items such as Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples, etc. packaged together on 1 cover sheet.  As part of this development, it would be nice if Viewpoint Team had the capability of selecting individual line items and creating the packaged cover sheet shown in the example.  As part of this, once the package is marked approved, all packaged line items would also change to approved like it does in Vista PM Submittal Package.  Please incorporate this functionality into this development.

When is this coming?  We find the biggest issue right now is the dates.  Our current process requires downloading, stamping, re-uploading then submission.  This is fine if we submit it the same day we receive it as these dates automatically populate from the preset default review dates.  HOWEVER, if the engineer is out on the day it is received and comes back the next day, he/she has to first manually revise the dates to appear on the cover page correctly.  Very cumbersome!  Instead, if we can add our stamp to the template, no editing will be required.

C'mon guys, we need this now!!!!

Most agencies we work with require the use of their specific form. We work almost exclusively with Public Agencies. Without the ability to utilize their form, the agency will not participate in TEAM. There must be a way to fully customize the Cover Sheet.

As a subcontractor this would be a must for us to even use Submittals and RFI.  Current coversheet has an area for architect and contractor.  We send Submittals to the Contractor never the architect.  Not a lot of changes needed, but it does need to be customizable.
