We have subcontractors that email their documents before we've even entered the submittal. If we enter it the proper way, they are going to get an email asking to submit, but they already have. We would like the option of still inputting the subcontractor in the Submittal, but not sending the email and we would submit the attachments ourselves. This would also be the case too if the consultant approves or rejects outside of TEAM and we have to do it on their behalf as Project Editors.
The only workaround I've been able to do is entering ourselves as the "Submitter" so that the Subcontractor does not get an email, but then we lose this crucial piece of information for reports.
In Vista we can enter all of these as distributions but don't have to email them (there is a checkbox to unmark send).
