For the purpose of keeping all subcontractors on the same page at all times we would like the ability the automatically email all subcontractors on a specific job that an RFI has been marked as answered. This way everyone stays in the loop and if anyone has additional costs or problems with the RFI they can speak up.
Currently, we are sharing RFIs with subcontractors that we think are affected but there have been problems with other subcontractors that were not aware of changes and had to change their work in the field after it was already completed.
Thus, we would like to see a general notification with the question and answer sent to everyone involved with a specific project once an RFI has been marked as answered.

If we’re understanding your comment correctly, we believe our suggestion has not been “shipped”. We wanted the option to send a notification to ALL subcontractors on the project that an RFI has been answered. An email notification to RFI participants does not alert all project participants (an email notification was already being sent out). Making an RFI public does not alert everyone on the project either. Alerting the architect and CM team that an RFI has been answered doesn’t help as much as the entire project knowing about RFIs. Having subcontractor check on the RFI tab every day is also unreliable. Thus, an email reminder to all subcontractors on the job is what was requested of this suggestion and hasn’t been properly attended to.

2. Set an RFI as 'Public' -- which makes it visible to the entire project team

. . . Also, being able to have standard language that accompanied that notice would be good too - something that could default and perhaps be customizable)

We don't send notices to everyone on a project but it would be good to be given an option after marking something answered to be able to mass send notices to all parties affected and have tracking of that notice being sent. (maybe tie this in with the suggestion for the ability to set up distribution groups)
