This suggestion is now over five years old and should have been implemented years ago. I do not believe it's likely to be implemented anymore. It seems Trimble is content with letting Viewpoint Team suffer in favor of their ProjectSight platform.
This is a very important functionality. Our Superintended should be able to upload photos.
We need the ability to allow consultants to upload drawings without giving them project manager access.
We need the ability to block PM's from one of our companies from seeing the projects in other companies

Yes, please. Would be good if our Collaborators could attach drawings and annotate on them without it affecting the originals in Drawings.
This is an important functionality. Depending on our role in the project (CM/Prime/Sub), determines what information we want to make available to our subcontractors/suppliers.
If we are a CM, we don't necessarily need to share our meeting minutes withe owners, but we still need to share much of the project info.
Sorry for the second post. In a Support Case i asked if there was a way we could query who has what access on what project. We were told no! If you have 100 projects you need to review them individually just so see who is on the that project and what they can see. Any Project Editor or Engineer that is a disgruntled employee can add competitors and give them access to our drawings, RFI, Issues with no over sight.
Regarding the ability to add contacts, essentially other than being able to limit who has the PM Role and access to financials, there is no real security in Viewpoint Teams. Anyone with Project Editor can add their friends or even competitors without any oversite or administration.
Going on nearly 4 years now. This really needs to be implemented.
Now with the addition of live editing we really need to be able to lock edits down to specific roles so not everyone that can view the document has the ability to edit it. We do not want subs to be able to edit specific documents whenever they want.
Not only should roles be customizable but the ability to create roles as necessary and assign permissions is also needed. The cookie cutter templates that are provided do not work well for our company.
The default permissions are useless and this needs to be implemented. Architects have more access than they need/should, and if I put a superintendent in with Superintendent permissions he can't even add photos! This was needed 3+ years ago when it was suggested.
The permissions absolutely need to customizable. The default permissions do not work for us.
An absolute must for any project.
We are literally being told we're not abiding by contracts because we can't give our owners more access. We cannot give everyone Project Editor as workarounds.
This issue is 3 years old and unacceptable that you have not provided this.
