1. Owner role by default cannot view any Daily Logs or Issues and it cannot be changed. We should be able to grant access to an owner to view these. An owner should know what issues are happening and be able to see the logs.
2. Superintendent role can create issues and we cannot prevent this. We should be able to set a Superintendent to view only for Issues.
3. Project Editor and Project Engineer roles are identical so combine or add some differences.

I'm setting up a separate suggestion, but external users should be limited to certain security roles. It's currently possible to set up an external user as a PM.
I don't understand how security issues are future considerations? Security concerns should be #1 priority.
I am just echoing what everyone else has already mentioned. Each company needs to have the ability to structure security permissions the best way for their team members. Any word on when this update might be coming out?
We think it would be best if the Project Manager could customize the various role's permissions settings. There is no way that TEAM developers can achieve the needs of so many Contractors so it would be best to give the Contractor Project Administrator the ability to set the role permissions that best suit the Project.
Also,
Owner & Project Reviewers should be able to look at the Contract summary/ Financial information on the dashboard
Just going to add to this:
1. I agree completely that we should be able to set and define our own security roles.
2. Viewpoint really needs to document what each role can and can't do. The current documentation is so limited and generalized that even the VP tech support department doesn't know what role does what without trial and error testing.
