We desperately need the ability to access our TEAM document files with File Explorer, like we can with DropBox and other cloud storage apps. When we create new files using MS Project or Office or BlueBeam or any other program, OR when we are emailed files, we need to be able to save directly INTO Team Documents.
As of now, we have to save everything on our file server, then drag and drop, so users are not bothering to put the files into Team as it's a lot of work to do things twice.
We can only drag files directly into Team from an email if using the Edge browser, but this can't be installed on Win 7 and many don't use this browser.
What this will also allow is to print Drawings using Reprodux's app as we could then "browse" to our drawings using their app for printing.
As of now, many files are not being put into TEAM because of this missing integration.

Correction. It looks like you offer file explorer for Windows-based computers, but not something for Macs. Any chance you're working on that any time soon?
This isn't an option yet??? When it comes to file storage, this feature is a must! I am currently using Google Drive because I can access my files from my macOS Finder. I have not made the full transition to using Viewpoint Teams yet because having to log into your system every day and navigate to each project to drop or pull a file is not efficient. I like the idea of being able to work directly from your site when I'm on the road, but not when I'm at my desk and need productivity. Let's get on this!
This is a great idea!
Unfortunately we've had to make the decision to use SharePoint instead of Team to share our project files as they can be easily accessed by all our users.
After the last Technology Huddle I am told this is no longer a feasible option. We have been promised this feature since we signed up with Team at the very beginning. Not being able to access our multiple project's files easily is a huge burden. It's not just for editing Office files.
We have gone so far as replacing Team Documents with SharePoint (for internal project files) and OneDrive (shared with external users for the other files). This if very disappointing.
Second the motion to extend Team to Dropbox or OneDrive. I don't think it makes sense to develop your own flavor of document sync to the desktop. We'd probably prefer OneDrive, but any way to extend it would be super helpful.
I have an idea on how you may be able to do this. With SharePoint and OneDrive, you can now sync documents to the local OneDrive client. New to Windows 1809 is the option keep files in the cloud if you have downloaded them locally (this prevents your hard drive from filling up and keeping all files in the cloud).
If TEAM can mimic the OneDrive client to the Team Documents (each project would be like a SharePoint document library) each user would simply click on the top-level and say "Sync to Team Client" or something like that. If we browse, the files are not downloaded to the client and if we open, they are downloaded locally for edits, then when save, it uploads.
There would then need to be a periodic cleanup of downloaded files like OneDrive does.
This was discussed a little at the conference. This is something our PM and Supers request each time we show TEAM as well. Is there any plans for developing this?
We are getting complaints about this almost daily. Other programs allow ftp access which then allows a client to be used to then allow people to copy entire folders, upload folder etc. Having to select all files per folder, then download to the default browser location, then move the files, then select more files then repeat is a LOT of work.
