Daily logs data in Team needs to be able to write back to Vista or atleast send an notification by email to the project manager letting them know a submission has been made. We love the clean look of the daily log when it is printed with history for audit purposes and the fact that we can print multiple superintendent logs as a combination on any given day. However, the views on the analytics reporting are just not appealing or very useful if ALL fields are not available for connection from the database within crystal reports.

We are not satisfied with solely using analytics for Daily Log data. For this reason we are having to use the Employee Portal (Keystyle) for daily logs so that we have the data for internal reporting. Can we update this suggestion as Mercedes requested?

I am being told after the last Technology Huddle that the integration is not going to be an option and is instead, being replaced with Team Analytics to use for reporting.

Vista customers use and rely on Vista as our core system for all PM data.  Until Team has ALL the modules we use in Vista (POs, Subcontracts, Meeting Minutes, Other Documents (which we use for Tendering plus other forms), Inspection Logs, Change Management (full functionality to change Subcontracts) we need the data in Vista.  

If the data remains solely in Team, we have to run reports in Team, then run reports in Vista then somehow merge them to get consolidated Project reports.  Plus the analytics will not give us raw data access so we can create custom Crystal Reports or SSRS report that can be scheduled, customized with SQL views and stored procedures etc.

Please update this suggestion with the current plan for this suggestion as it has 50 votes.  

Is this being worked on still?

Can we please get an update on this?  As of April 2018 (1.5 years ago) it says it IS planned yet we have nothing.  We still can't use this module until this happens as there are too many missing fields that we need (so at least we can start the majority of logs in Team) and run very detailed reports in Vista.  

Any chance you could at least write a photo URI back to the Daily Logs in Vista so custom reports could pull in the photos that way?

I agree with all the comments below; however, another reason why we need this incorporated with Vista is because the safety inspections can be recorded and tracked at a company level which will eliminate another software we are currently using.

Daily logs linked to the ERP are vital and at the core of most construction claims as a defense or otherwise. In addition tracking completion at a company level would eliminate the need to enter individual projects to check log status.

This comment from April says the plan is to integrate yet 4 months later we still cannot use the Logs in TEAM without the integration.  PLEASE either allow customers access to the SQL data like they can with the Vista Cloud application or add the integration.  We rely on Vista heavily for custom reports.

It should be very easy to integrate the photos from the Team Log to the Vista Log to the main form's attachment lister.  The attachment lister was updated so it's done in the background of the server so a client is not needed.

Aaron, We are needing to get to the work log information to better summarize hours worked for particular contractors. Right now we have to maintain an outside spreadsheet even if we keep the work logs completed. We are requesting to get to this data so we can do custom reporting off this information. Either API or push to Vista is needed.

Also needs to integrate with Spectrum. any plans for Spectrum Integration?

Has there been any updates on this?  We really want to use TEAM for Daily Logs but it must integrate.  If we had access to our TEAM data, I would right the integration.

Where would the Job Photos module integrate back to in Vista?  We need all of our data in Vista for custom reports.  We currently include site photos on our Daily Logs in Vista so without this key data, we will have to enter Logs in Vista only.

The plan IS to write Daily Logs back to Vista -- we are working out the details about what that entails.

We are not currently writing attachments back to Vista -- for Submittals/RFIs/Issues and do not have plans to do so for Daily Logs.  We ARE however planning on a Job Photo "module" this year exactly for what you are describing.  As we get closer to development we'll be looking for feedback.
