When I try to sort RFI's by RFI number it sorts them 1, 10, 11, 12, 13....2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. It should sort them numerically.

@jim you can renumber RFIs once they have been created. It is a bit of a manual process, but use the "pencil" and enter the new number. Let me know if you have any questions.
As for a more permanent solution -- this is on our radar and we'll update this idea when we get this closer to development.
Jim,
Sorry for my poorly worded response this morning. Is there a way to fix the RFI numbering issue once a project is underway or is it something that has to happen with the first RFI?
Jim, I can assure you that it isn't a simple programming error. The field itself is a text field that may contain numbers, and if so, then it needs to be treated numerically and sorted by its numeric representation rather than ASCII. The difficulty is ensuring proper performance when this dynamic sorting is needed. We haven't lost sight of this. In the meantime the best workaround is to number RFI with one of two leading zeros'.
Very disappointed that Viewpoint issued an update that include lots of window dressing but didn't address a simple, programming error.
Viewpoint - Have the first RFI auto-populate as #001. Should solve the whole issue.
Thanks
Try sorting by RFI number and by type in a filter. That will sort them numerically instead of alphanumeric. Not sure why the filter works but give it a try.
