It is very confusing when a subcontractor uploads a bunch of files for their submittal, then the contractor uploads their reviewed file, usually in one PDF and then the approval uploads their file. Instead of having all of these files in one basket where you search by the filename, create different sections for who uploads the file. Example: Subcontractor uploads their product data for 4 products used in masonry (all of these would be under "submitter"). Contractor puts all of these files into one PDF and reviews the product data, contractor uploads reviewed submittal to send for approval (this file would be under "reviewed/reviewer"). Finally the approver would upload their approved file and locate it under "approver". If you have any doubt as to what this should look like, reference other platforms such as Prolog or Submittal Exchange. Prolog is by far the best and most user friendly.
There should be no question as to who should be looking at what file during the submittal review process because the way files are attached to a submittal register item is confusing on the website.
