We used to be able to set default RFI Types to Collaborators where as we assigned INT-RFI default to Collaborators that was sent the the Project Editor and RFI that only the Project Editor could create that was sent the Engineer. Now that you have added RESTRICT ROLE; BY RFI TYPE to the mix, we can accomplish same except now when we select restriction to Collaborators for RFI-INT to View and Create they have the ability to create and internal RFI but can also see all other internal RFI's that are Private. If they are Private they should stay Private regardless of this setting. Please review and give me your thoughts

Aaron:
The different RFI "Types" still have Private/Public option but it does not seem to matter if Private is selected as all Collaborators can see event the Private ones. We have the Engineer in as a collaborator due to security desired (don't like them to be able to delete so System "Engineer" does not work) and they can see the all Private RFI's.
Thank You,
Bobby Asbury

Apologies Bobby for not getting a post on this! We agree that we should provide for "Private" RFIs (or other project communication items) within the context of a specific TYPE versus in the context of a project - which is how the initial public/private is scoped.
We are talking through what that would look like - how a private "Type" RFI looks compared to a private "project" RFI and what the user experience would look like.
At this point we don't have an eta on when. It may be a bit arduous but as a work around, having a Type for each "group" of people may be the best course.
I'll follow up when we have a better grip on the UX and how.
Thanks!
This is still an issue. Any word on when resolve is expected?
Aaron:
Anything in this yet? This is kind of critical as some internal RFI's are sensitive and should not be seen by all if they are private!!
Thanks Aaron, look forward to fix. Let me know if you need me to test anything on my end.
Thank You,
Bobby Asbury
