The ability to view documents in one application is a more efficient approach to team collaboration and a basis for using "Team" as the Project Management tool. Having to open the sheet and save it locally not only involves extra steps but now several users may have saved and edited the same document. This would go against leveraging the one interface approach and can generate errors and confusion. This does not have to be a full excel client but just a "viewer" of the document.

A micorsoft plugin to be able to open > edi > save files in "Documents" is desperately needed. Why after 2.5 years is this not implemented yet?!

Currently having to download to my desktop, work on it, save and then upload is not a real time saver. As it is now we can only add pdf or use TEAM as a final resting place for document. Being able to have living breathing excel documents here is a must.

I agree with this totally. We need to be able to "check out " and edit a document and save back to TEAM. i hear complaints about this from my group all the time. It should be set up similar to a sharepoint site .
