Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

After using Viewpoint by Vista and having the ability to create packages using individual submittal items,
I find Viewpoint Team as less than efficient. What Viewpoint Team calls a “Package” is actually the
individual submittal items. This forces the system to create an individual cover sheet for each item. In
theory, this is great because you can, without a doubt, know that each item is approved. The issue with
this lies within the Design Team. On multiple projects, the Design Team has commented that they do
not wish to approve individual items but would rather stamp their approval on a “Package” cover sheet.
An improvement, would be an option to select multiple items from the submittal list and create a true
“Package” and that has individual items i.e. product data, catalog cuts, and/or shop drawings all listed
under one cover sheet. An example of this would be for Cast in Place Concrete. A package for this spec
section would include mix design product data, rebar product data, rebar shop drawings, and
contraction jointing shop drawings. With Viewpoint Team there would be at least four cover sheets for
this specification section that eh reviewer would have to stamp sign and upload. Our suggestion would
allow there to be one cover sheet for the “CIP Concrete System” that the reviewer could stamp and
send back.
A possible layout for this could have a separate Package tab or a split screen view similar to the
screenshot form Viewpoint Vista below. Also, below are actual PDFs of cover sheets produced by
Viewpoint Vista. These are actual “Package” cover sheets that list out the items as suggested above.
