The due date that is published out to the project team - on the Submittal cover sheet and in the on screen register as the Due Date - needs to be the ACTUAL current real-time due date.
EG:
the default review days on the project are set to
10 days for submitting
7days for reviewing
14 days for approving
(assuming calendar days for ease of calculating)
State changes to Issued on Dec 1 : Due date = Dec 1 + 10 days = Dec 11
State changes to Submitted on Dec 3 : Due Date = Dec 3 + 7 = Dec 10
State changes to In Review on Dec 14: Due Date = Dec 14 + 14 = December 28.
The Due Date should NOT be pulling from the Due From/To dates that are derived from the Due On Site Date + Lead Days + review days. That feature is useful for high-level schedule comparison but is not real life and should not be presented as real-time due dates.
