Submittals get closed but sometimes because ofspecification changes, user errors, submitter omissions the submittal needs to be reopened. This is not allowed currently.

I have ran into this a couple of times as well. The Engineer recently sent the submittals back as approved but they were really revise and resubmit. I had no way to change that at this point and the only option that was available to me was to Release. After that I could not reopen to create a revision. Could a Submittal be reopened to create a resubmittal? That would allow some flexibility if error occurred on the process. That way the number is not being used again, simply a revision.

SM Wilson asked about this as well, they need the flexibility to open a closed submittal in the case of a mistake, etc. Once a submittal number is used we can't reuse it, so the process is pretty rigid at this point.
