Currently we can only browse Team Contacts to enter a Firm Name only (ie not by contact name) for a Subcontractor when we need to enter a qty from the firm that is onsite. So if we have a unique Firm that our company uses that is NOT using TEAM anywhere else, they will not be listed in TEAM Contacts. We need to be able to browse PM FIRMS and choose a firm we have setup in Vista that's not necessarily a TEAM contact. We only add Subcontractors to TEAM when we deal with Submittals so all the other trades we deal with onsite will NOT be in TEAM.

To add to that...if I can see PM Firm look ups when I'm adding contacts to a project, why can't they be there on daily logs?

I too have this issue...I think that the contacts should flow up from Vista. Our accounting folks will add contacts to projects as they write the subcontracts...but if they haven't been in TEAM before, we have to go in and manual add them so they can be used in Daily Logs. Totally lame.

I found that when I need a firm in Team to pull onto a daily log (but not to participate) I just add them to the contact list but don't invite them to the project.

You should be able to search the PM Firm Contacts option to search Vista Firms. We have benn doing it for some time now unless I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do.
