In the case where there are multiple additional approvers it would help if there could be notifications when an additional approver completes there review so the next reviewer can complete their review.

I have an open case with support from 12/14. It's not sending these notifications.
I know this suggestion has been out here for a while - this should now work as you describe though - when an Additional Approver completes their review it sends a notification to the main Approver, the Reviewer, and any CC contacts. Let me know if you're still seeing it behave differently.
