For existing projects that we want to start using TEAM, we already have existing subfolders within our standard folder structure. When we copying these subfolders into TEAM, it only copies the files so it's not organized and cannot find things. With SharePoint when we copy a folder that has a subfolder (or multiple layers of subfolders with files in each), it copies this folder structure into TEAM.

this is a serious impediment, not having the ability to copy folders and their contents.
Please consider voting for the ability to add security groups to the document folders and create a template with those security groups that can be apllied to the next project. See link below.

It would be great if the documents module was more like sharepoint with the ability to drag a folder into the module and then have the subfolders and contents copy over.

Is there any progress on this? I am not at the 3 hour mark trying to copy files to TEAM from an existing Project because I have to create each subfolder then copy then repeat. It's been 9 months since the last comment.
This is now 8 months old. What is the update on this?
A great example we have is say we have the same pdf under multiple subfolders (permits.pdf). Since it won't create the subfolder structure, we get errors with duplicate file names and can't upload both of them unless we go and rename them all.
Agree we should support this method of uploading, especially for migrating exiting projects to Team.
