Disable Add Contacts for ALL Team users if using Vista

There is a known issue with TEAM that will allow duplicate contacts to be created in Vista.  We do not want our Project Editors to be able to create NEW contacts in TEAM.  We use a third party CRM software which integrates with Vista so the creation of Firm Contacts needs to be done from Vista.  If the user cannot locate the Contact, they must add it into Vista first.  At least allow a system-wide option to disable the Add Contacts for customers such as us.

Agreed we NEED the option to remove the + button in TEAM.  We do have the Limit Organizations to Vista PM Firms enable and it does NOT stop adding a new contact that then creates a whole new firm in Vista even though one already exists.

This needs to be done immediately.  We need a setting that let's us hide the button so users can't add contacts that are not already in PM Firm Contacts.  I understand other companies may want to allow their folks to add contacts, so it should be an administrative option to remove the '+' button.  This should not be listed as shipped.  We recently had an issue where 955 contacts whose e-mail was set to 'N/A' changed to the same first name, last name and e-mail because someone updated it in Team.

According to the link it says "To limit organizations to your ERP system, contact your Viewpoint representative for assistance."  Where is the option so I can test it?

I was just able to create a new contact that exists in Vista.  Nothing told me it was already there.

We want to remove the + sign completely.

A couple of things to point out on this topic that should help:

    1. "Limit to Vista PM Firms" is an option that can be set on the enterprise which will only surface contacts from Vista and only let you add new contacts to existing PM Firms.  See this topic for additional info:  Limit Organizations to Vista PM Firms
    2. When adding contacts in the system with this set, there is validation on the email address of the target contact.  New contacts will be added to existing Firms in Vista.
    3. Users are not allowed to add new Organizations in Team with this value set

If you do not have this option set, or don't know, reach out via support.

This is causing us so many issues.  Users see the + sign and think that's how to add new contacts to TEAM and now we have so many duplicates in Vista.  We can't remove them from Vista as they are now linked to a contact in TEAM and a project in Vista.  Even with training, users are still doing this.
