Any progress on this? The accuracy of weather capture for daily logs is atrocious. We have a project in a small mountain town.... yet VPT captures weather from an airport 80km / 50 miles away by a major city (not in the mountains). Two completely different geographic locations with very different weather. The weather data is completely irrelevant to the project location rendering this feature useless... not to mention potentially harmful. Please make this better.

My friend who is an armchair IT person was able to create a macro in Excel and link to a weather app that had more than just the local airports as weather reporting - I would think you'd be able to find a weather app to work with that has better reporting. My current project is reporting to a location 80km away, which is useless.

Please, please, please make an improvement here. 

As we expand into western NC, we will be working in some very remote locations, and pulling weather from 50 miles away is not going to be helpful at all.

I certainly hope better options are coming soon - Aeris weather coverage for our neck of the woods (Alberta Canada) means we're relying on weather stations as much as 100 miles away if not more.   Currently Edmonton is -31 C while our project in Killam is at -38 C: that's a big swing (weather network had no problem showing these locations separately).  Aeris wasn't even able to convert the postal code or coordinates - we simply had no data pulled into team - I had to enter a postal code from Camrose (which is 45 miles away from Killam) to even get data to pull through.

I did a little looking - appears the nearest weather stations around Orwigsburg are in Lehighton, Reading, Annville, and Hazleton - you're right in the middle of the triangle unfortunately. We do have a feature on the roadmap to allow inclusion of personal weather stations (or any personal stations reporting data to https://www.pwsweather.com) which would provide a few more options but we're not quite there yet.

Here’s my problem – when I enter the zip code I get Lehighton weather which is 27 miles away. If I enter the GPS coordinated I get Reading weather which is also 27 miles away. Is there any way to get something closer?

Hi Karen,

The weather functionality in Team pulls from all the stations available to Aeris weather and finds the one closest to the zip code you entered. Zip codes can be pretty big so this isn't always as accurate as it needs to be. One thing you can try is putting in your GPS coordinates instead and you might get a closer station - see below:

Click the link that the arrow is pointing to and type in the jobsite address to get your coordinates, then put those into Team (where the box is) and see how it goes.
