Even though the documentation states that subcontractors can add issues, the software will not let them. When I brought this up to support, they said they will resolve the problem by updating the documentation. However, I would like the problem solved by adding the functionality

Dear Viewpoint Suggestion Box contributor;
We at Viewpoint sincerely thank you for your contribution to Suggestion Box on how we can improve Viewpoint products. While we can’t do everything at once, we rely upon your feedback to help guide the prioritization of our product improvements, and Suggestion Box is a critical tool for us to understand and prioritize our customers’ needs.
Viewpoint reviews Suggestion Box regularly for all of our products and updates statuses, adds comments, and performs various house-keeping (including deleting) as needed to ensure that Suggestion Box is maintained as a productive environment for product enhancements requests.

Just a quick note. A workaround to subcontractors seeing all issues of a specific type would be to create a subcontractor specific type for the project. This way the subcontractor would be able to create issues but only view "their" issues.
To clarify, the customer is aware of the ability to add a Role Restriction as well. However, they want subcontractors to be able to add new Issues by default.
snip from cust - There are 2 problems with this – the first one, and more important, is that when you do this, every subcontractor can see all other subcontractors issues, which is not good. We are trying to use issues as a way for subs to send us documents – such as billings, COI’s, etc. The other problem is that we would have to enable it on every project, instead of being a global feature.
