Team Drawings - Scroll Thru when Viewing

What: We need the ability to be able to open one drawing in Team and then be able to scroll through each drawing of that discipline in lieu of having to close the drawing, then open the next.

Why is this valuable: All about efficiency and eliminating frustration with the Team product. All major players in this market have this function.

This feature is a must! Viewpoint says this feature already exists, but it does not. We already know we have the ability to click through drawings, but users need the ability to scroll through the drawings. Every time we click, there is a slight delay to load that drawing. Scroling is much more efficient.

we alos need this feautre for both Mobile and PC

    Hey Sandra Johnson,

Clicking one by one through drawings is not helpful, especially because each click reloads your spot in the drawing side panel. Sometimes we have to click through many (10 or more) drawings before we determine exactly which drawing we are looking for. Clicking through the side bar for all of these takes forever and is no faster or easier than click back to the main drawing register.

All other tools (Adobe, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.) have functionality that either has arrows or has use of the scroll wheel to scroll through drawings.

Can we get something a little more user friendly?

    Thanks,

Looks like this was implemented with the side panel. Users have the ability to click through drawings in a discipline without closing/re-opening.

Yes this would make the platform so much more useful!

I can only reiterate what so many others have said. The whole premise of having Viewpoint Team is that it works as a single platform for all of our project related documents to live, from accounting to the field. That was what set Viewpoint apart from the other programs. I only have to buy one platform. If you can't use the field tools properly then why do I have it? With one of the major functions of field work being the ability to view drawings on mobile devices or laptops, and having that function severely limited, the field tool is almost not worth having. That makes the concept of "one central platform" incorrect. I would be just as productive to buy an accounting platform and a separate field platform that gives me the ability to view drawings in a smoother format. We really need to be able to make viewing, and managing, drawings a central component of this tool.

YES! Please make this work. We are able to scroll between pages in the mobile app and in other tools. This is critical to the function of the drawings tool. If there isnt a way to navigate from page to page in the tool we might as well store drawings on a local drive and if we do that then what is the point of the drawings tool in team? Please make this function!

PLEASE MAKE THIS CHANGE ASAP! When we have hundreds of sheets on any given project it is unreasonable that we don't have the ability scroll or have forward and backward buttons. We have the forward and backward buttons available in the documents tool already, and it is shown in the VP Team training videos. I have PMs that download the drawing sets out of Team and save them to their desktop just so that they can open the drawings in a PDF viewer so that they can scroll or search the entire set. Unfortunately without this functionality, the Drawings Tool in VP Team is useless for our company since our PMs still reference a drawing set saved on their desktop.

It looks like this suggestion has been un-attended to for 23.5 months now (going on 2 YEARS). This is a standard function on all other systems I've used. We are struggling to evolve the culture of our field workers (convince them that technology is helpful) due to inefficient issues like this.

When can we expect to have a resolution?

Navigating between drawings on the iPad is extremely irritating. Not only can you not scroll/flip to next page, but additionally, Each time you close out of a drawing and go back to drawing list, every discipline automatically returns the "collapsed" position. Thus we have to re-open and scroll down through sometimes hundreds of sheets just to get to the floor plan of the next building area.

Completely unacceptable that this hasn't been implemented yet, especially when the hyerlinks have bugs and don't work!

I'm not sure why this hasn't been addressed yet? You have added a new function with R4 to navigate through drawings more efficiently, why can't the "flip" function be added?!?!?!?!

if you click on the name of the drawing  (upper left) of the page. it would open up to a list of all drawings and could have a search so you can type the drawing name or number in your looking for.
