Submit Your Suggestions for Viewpoint Team

In our site offices we have a large whiteboard showing activities planned for the next fortnight. Our supervisors list significant activities planned as they are confirmed and locked in, on a day-to-day basis. For example, committed concrete pour dates, significant deliveries, or start dates for new trades. This is a planning and communication tool. Supervisors use it to plan out their week ahead, and Subcontractors can view this whiteboard to plan their works around these significant activities, and do so without having to call and talk to our site supervisors. It works very efficiently, but does require the whiteboard to be viewed in person on site. It would be fantastic to transfer this concept into Viewpoint Team, in the Daily Log module. It seems that the software infrastructure is already there. All that would be necessary is to allow entries to be made in future dates and allow assigned subcontractors to view the content. Four new entry fields will be necessary to include "Planned Works", "Deliveries", "New Starters" and "Other". Conventional daily log data such as weather, number of personnel on site, etc, etc will not be necessary when working within this future works parameter, so would be good if these record keeping fields could be switched off. This functionality would be a total game changer for improved communications and coordination of site activities amongst site supervisors and subcontractors and/or workforces. It will bring coordination of head contractor and subcontractors much closer. It will improve efficiencies and productivity by preventing misunderstanding, and miscommunications. It will help to identify where more can be achieved on site. Effective and scalable for both small projects and large projects. Must be visible on the mobile App for it to be most effective since our workforces are so mobile. This would truly be fantastic if you could make this functionality possible.
