In our business, not all Owners / Architects / Subcontractors are willing to use the GC's project management system. Regardless, in order for our records to be complete we must be able to select any contact on the job to be listed on submittals, RFI's, issues, etc. If a contact is not able to be selected after 14 days if an invitation to the site is not accepted then we are no longer able to do this. That means we must continually re-send invitations to those people in order to keep our records correct. That doesn't work well as it upsets those who are not willing or able to use the system

Yes, this would be very helpful. Also just because they do not want to use the system it does not mean that we should not be able to send information out from the system to them. Ideally, the document management would allow us to link external emails to the projects instead of creating a pdf then adding the document.
I agree! I need to be able to add non-participating contacts just for the sake of names and addresses on the documentation I have to extract out of the software to upload or send in email. Really.....I just need their name to be on it versus it saying its to me and coming from me.

I never caught the 14 day expiration, but yes, we do the same thing and need these partners in the system to keep it current.
If nothing else, just a way to manually have a contract added without an invite at all.
We would like to be able to do this as well, we have some architects/engineers that do not want to use Teams but we need to be able to assign them to submittals, RFI's etc to keep our records complete. In order to work around this issue we have assigned 'dummy' corporate emails to those companies that do not want to use the system, this gets cumbersome as we get more companies that do not want to use Teams.
