We are having issues extracting files that we download from Team. It says "Path Too Long." When the files are extracted, it's including all folders above the folder I'm downloading so if the files exist at their maximum file length in Team, it's impossible to extract them.
For example,
02 Construction Documents
02 G Deficiencies & Closeout
Warranty - O&M - Closeout Documents
I download "Warranty - O&M - Closeout Documents." When I extract this folder, it's including "02 Construction Documents" and "02 G Deficiencies & Closeout" PLUS the location of where I'm downloading (at minimum it's C:\USERNAME\DOWNLOADS) so if a file existing in Team that meets the maximum already, we cannot extract them.
We have to write down the file it couldn't extract, Skip, write down the next one, Skip, repeat. Then we have to go back into Team and manually download each individual file one at a time. And since there is no search in Team, we have to try and find exactly what subfolder the files are in since the extract error doesn't list the path.
Fast forward to when we do the Project Closeout. It'll create the Zip file, but no way to extract the file. If we give this to our customers, we're giving them a lot of manual work to figure out which files don't extract, then we have to manually download etc.
