I'd like to have additional options for automatic notifications. Right now the only options are "Once", "Daily", or "Never". Once is not enough and daily is too much. Once a week or every few days would be preferred options.

Well, 4.5 years later, no change? The ridiculous quantity of emails I receive as a project engineer just lead to creating automatic rules to delete Viewpoint emails.
It would be great if we had the flexibility to decide when the Daily Log notification emails were sent out, or they are sent out immediately after a Daily Log is created.
Notifications should be controllable at the task level. In other words, I may want to turn on notifications for RFIs and Submittals, but not Daily Logs.
What does "planning to implement" mean? We are really concerned that the daily emails are starting to be ignored making the function of automatic notifications totally worthless. Is there a timeline that could be shared on when this is planned to be implemented?
Yes that is this is the most frustrating and time consuming part of creating / editing submittals in Viewpoint.
We just had a meeting with our consultants and got demolished by complaints of the 3-4 AM notifications. They either want to shut them off completely or they are not using TEAM anymore. It's becoming a huge issue.
With Vista's Job module, we tell it the times and in SQL you can tell the frequency and times so this should be possible.
If there was a "bulk" notification -- one email with multiple items on it, then that would greatly reduce the amount of notifications received. This has been requested by many of our subcontractors and design team members.
Where is that option? Need to know ASAP for my client.
I would also like an option for the TIME these get sent. I'm currently getting reminders at 3AM. These should match the job manager options in Vista ie Once, Daily, Weekly (then choose the days ie Monday, Tuesday etc) as well as what time they are to be sent. We choose 8AM as our users get the notifications as soon as they start their day and you don't worry about those that don't turn off notifications off at night.
Is there an update on this item. Does Viewpoint have a plan to address this?
I would agree. Every day notices they learn to just ignore. Once works good on coming due notice but once late, I agree once not enough and daily too much for late notices
