We would like the ability to edit what notifications people receive. For example - the architect typically does not care if the submittal is closed. They only want to see emails on items they need act on, everything else is clutter and too many notifications will make them stop looking at the site. We feel this should be changed on a project level, because different people may want more or less email notifications

This should apply to everything. Daily logs, submittals, RFI's, Issues etc. We don't always want certain people to be notified.

I also like the idea of a Daily Digest summary email.
I think two other options that would be helpful are:
- Email only assigned items - this would stop email notifications for anything a user is CC'd on, but let them through for an item they are the reviewer or approver on
- Opt out of all notifications - stop all notifications no matter what
Both of these options would be check boxes at the user profile level and editable either by the users themselves or by an Admin from the Users menu
I think this would cover most use cases without us needing to add a check box for every single stage

I Like the idea below regarding a Daily Digest roll up notification that would put the days notifications in one email. I recently made changes to Engineers reviewing after the update that now allows to add multiple Approvers. The main Engineer (Approver) received over 200 emails that morning. Not a happy person. If too many emails are sent all day long, they become immune to them. Good idea below, at least all info will be available to them at the end of the day. I do think when something is sent to them though, like a submittal or RFI, that notification should go out immediately since some RFI's are Critical and may need to be reviewed right away. - Bobby

Is there a desire to also allow the architects/external users to be able to decide which notifications they want to receive?
We are also planning on providing a "Daily Digest" that would roll up all notifications for a day and show them as a report in one email
